Khulula is back at sea after a quick day off at Atol Las Roques. We have to get moving to pick up the third member of the OceanGybe Expedition, Ryan in Columbia on the 22nd of November, so we are off. Our first garbage study of year 3 went down with mixed results. We found lots of garbage, predominately plastic water and oil bottles, but we also discovered enough mosquito’s to drain an average sized human being. Needless to say, the garbage study was cut short as we all sprinted for the ocean and dove in. Hugh, the cameraman, is now sporting about 15 mosquito bits on his face and one could be forgiven for thinking he has chicken pox. Anything for some garbage !
