It is never over till the fat lady sings. After checking our position and noting that we were now above 25 deg south, and apparently in the trade wind belt, we thought we had managed to escape the infamous cape winds. Well, cue South Atlantic high pressure from stage right, and a coastal heat low from the left of the stage and, voila, Khulula is in the squash zone ! We have had 25 – 25 knots of wind for the past 18 hours, and it looks like these will continue for another 24 hours before lightening. As a result, when not on shift, the crew are snuggled in their blankets reading books and attempting not be thrown clear across your bunk as the boat lurches from one rail to the other. All is well however and as always, Casper, our fantastic Hydrovane, is doing all the work…
