The only large floating items we’ve seen in the past couple days have been natural; kelp, logs, and that’s pretty much it. However we did a couple of trawls today and they turned up a few tiny (<1mm) pieces of plastic. The most numerous item in the net were what looked to be mini eggs that resembled eyeballs. They had a clear jelly on the outside, a black center about the size of a poppy seed and tasted like salt. More research is required. We're now almost directly on course, heading towards the coast of BC. Fog everywhere, vision is limited to about 60ft at night.
