Glassy and sunny surf session and west coast mussel feast was the order of the morning! Andy Paine of Sitka, Andrew Naysmith of Oak Johnny Boy productions, and I (Ryan) arrived on board yesterday after a high speed, chop ramping ride from Cougar Creek, courtesy of Clay Hunting. Clay runs a very remote, rustic and very cool surfcamp on the west coast of Nootka island and was nice enough to rip us from the mainland to Khulula who was anchored deep inside Skuna Bay. For Clay a boat only has speed – FLAT OUT! We arrived with cold beers, and spent the evening catching up as our laughter echoed across a moonlit cold and windless bay and was absorbed by the quiet majesty of the coastal forest.
