March 2012 marks the one-year anniversary of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami that claimed the lives of thousands. It also dumped millions of tons of debris into the ocean that is now making its way to the across the Pacific towards the NW Hawaiian Islands and the coasts of BC.  The story has been covered by almost every news channel but many have not taken the time to speak to the professional scientists looking at this.
