Just a quick note to say we arrive safely in Tamarindo at 7:15am this morning, just before the tsunami wave came through, unbeknownst to us! Luckily, luckily, luckily it was non-event on this stretch of coast. We’re not exactly sure when it arrived here, but we did notice what looked like a couple of extra large waves break on the outer reef in the bay.

Funnily enough we didn’t know that there was a tsunami until after it probably happened, and a couple local guy came to warn us that it was on its way. They had been confused about the timing though, and said it was predicted for 1pm this afternoon. A rapid trip to shore confirmed that it had come through earlier, and we were in the clear.
