Punta Galena, eh? What a great 36 hours! The crew is now enjoying the prospect of a day without paddling, since our bodies are fairly broken after putting in 7-8 hours in the water both days. A nice long sandy bottom right hand point break, with heaps of room to do cruisy turns. Nothing too crazy or else the wave would drop you and continue its slow march down the sand bank. With Semana Santa beginning yesterday we were able to see the beginning of what is the craziest beach party in Mexico, and the worst time for beach pollution! Apparently, by the end of this two week fiesta, beaches all over the country will be saturated with trash and litter. Motoring at the most fuel efficient speed to eek out any extra mileage since we may only just have enough fuel to get to Acapulco, and winds in the evenings (when we are looking to arrive) are not very common on this coast.
