As expected, the onset of the new anticyclone (high) sweeping in from the west has been accompanied by some large and rather southerly breezes. The wind is howling, and the waves are responding in kind, building up into awesome rollers that lift Khulula up, and cause her to lurch and roll. We are reefed way down (reduced a lot of sail that we are carrying) and Khulula is skidding along and having a fantastic time. We, her trusty crew, have received salt water dousing after salt water dousing in the cockpit, causing most of the off watch crew to remain below with their books! The mood aboard is jovial, as this weather is not supposed to last, AND it is putting some serious mileage under the keel. At this rate we will be in Rodriguez in 6 days (holding thumbs, touching wood!). I (Ryan) made boiled eggs and toast for breakfast, a very juggly affair, but which filled growling stomachs. The ocean continues to be good to us with another nice Dorado being caught on the line yesterday and subsequently consumed in a spectacular evening fish curry cooked by the Hubert.
