Ghosting along… Things have been pretty cruisy here on Khulula the past 24 hours. A small low pressure/trough passed over us, giving unusually light winds. Fortunately, they are just forward of our beam, rather than stern. The result being our apparent wind, the addition of our boat speed and the wind speed, is just strong enough wind for us to sail. Just. Yesterday morning Mike and Hugh were looking for something to do, so out went the fishing lines. What would you know, but an hour later we had one of the largest tuna’s we’ve caught on board. Our 10kg scale almost broke when we tried to weight it… best estimates put it had ~15 kgs! We’ll be eating fish for a few days. The flesh and skin of said fish was remarkably fatty, leading the crew to surmise that this was due to the cold water. We recorded 20 degrees C yesterday. brrr..
