Windy, sunny day today on SV Khulula. We departed Suriname two days ago, and are bound for Barbados in the Caribbean. After a night of serious squalls with wind to 38 kts, torrential rain and total darkness, sunrise this morning was a welcome sight. Today has been rocky and rolly, but without any serious wind shifts or increases, praying for a calmer night. This afternoon we caught a huge Mahi Mahi and Hugh is currently poaching it Mike Patterson styles with lemon grass from the garbage island. Stay tuned for more on that one… Oh yeah, yesterday at about noon a HUGE whale breached about 30 ft from the stern of Khulula. Incredibly close and immense.
