Wow, that was a pretty awful but we are here. After four days of heavy winds, rough seas and torrential rain, we pulled into Bridgetown, Barbados about an hours ago. Last night was filled with huge squalls with 40+ kts of wind, torrential rain, and huge waves. Today, the wind was 25 – 35 kts all day, the swell was about 5m and the sun blazing. Needless to say, the boat smells, wet gear lies strewn about, hastily created meals sit on the stove but we are enjoying a celebratory drink in the cockpit. It is 3am and we couldn’t care less…
